5 Of The Best Things We Saw On Twitter Last Week

Xander Schauffele toptracer

If you were busy living your life and weren’t on Twitter over the weekend, we got you covered.

Here’s our attempt to provide a recap of the best tweets you may have missed during the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

New rules are … interesting?

We said hello to 2019 Sentry Tournament Of Champions and the revised rules were on full display from the moment the first putt was struck on air.

Of course, leave it to Bryson DeChambeau to show the world what a pro putting with the pin in looks like. Get used to it!

And the internet had jokes!

We can’t forget about the new knee drop rule too.

*face palm*

Whenever somebody says that golfers aren’t athletes, just show them this!

Also, it’s incredibly difficult to take a rules official in Hawaiian shirt seriously!

Marketing opportunity?

Callaway released their new Epic Flash last week and we’re willing to bet this drive Xander Schauffele won’t be featured on any of their commercials.

Still had 158mph ball speed! Guess that’s what happens when you design a driver with artificial intelligence.

Even a man who’s made more birdies in one round than you probably will all year occasionally “tops” a driver.

The only difference is that his went 242 yards and yours probably goes 42.

Stinger City

Gary Woodland deserves to be a first-ballot Traj Hall of Famer. End of story.

Yep, that’s a 42 foot apex! Somewhere Tiger is smiling.

Caddie Sauce

For all you caddies out there, here’s a free lesson:

When your player holes out, let him put the club back in the bag. Then when he’s not looking, nonchalantly take it out, wipe it down and put it back in.

Textbook.

X marks the spot

Xander had 273 left to the par-5 18th hole for his second shot and hit one of the better approaches under pressure you’ll probably see all year. He went on to win the Tournament of Champions by one shot over Gary Woodland.
