Tour Pro Desperate For Attention Continues To Post Wildly Ignorant And Offensive Things On Social Media

(TIS) — In a desperate effort for attention, one Tour pro took to social media this past weekend to voice his opinion on a subject that he couldn’t be more wrong about. His motivation? Headlines.
“Come on, the media today is a joke. I could gain close to 1,000 followers today alone just by saying something stupidly offensive because y’all are going to make a headline out of it,” he said while looking anxiously at his phone checking his notifications. “BOOM … another follower! What a rush!”
Frankly, the pro who’s ranked well over 100 in the world ranking is right. In fact, it doesn’t even matter he’s basically irrelevant on Tour. Just about every golf publication had something on their website shortly afterward with some sort of provocative headline associated with it. And according to one leading doctor in the field of common sense, it’s easy to see why.
“When somebody says something extremely ignorant on social media, the human brain has two responses … shake your head and move on … or what we commonly see nowadays, perpetuate the stupidity through various forms of mass communication such as reposting, retweeting, etc,” he said. “This generally leads to exponentially more clicks, and in turn, more profit. It’s a vicious cycle.”
When asked if he means what he says in his blatantly offensive posts, which he almost always deletes a few minutes later, the Tour pro laughed and then in a dead serious tone responded, “the only things I don’t mean are the apologies that my PR folks write for me.”
