3 Random Golf Holes Found In New York On Google Maps

Random Golf Holes Upstate New York | Two Inches Short Google Maps

Someone found 3 random golf holes in the middle of nowhere on Google Maps and we are absolutely fascinated with this discovery. Where did they come from? Why are they there? Can we play them?!

This tweet from @GorseNod shows a satellite view of Google Maps in upstate New York by the Catskill Mountains.

If you zoom in, you can clearly see a cut-out in the woods with 3 greens, 2 defined fairways, several grass-filled bunkers, and a small pond.

Just off Route 42 where Peekmoose rd becomes Watson Hollow rd in Sundown, NY lies a little slice of private golf heaven.

There don’t seem any roads that lead to it and don’t appear to be any houses in the area. However, it looks to be relatively maintained well enough for us to see it clearly on Google Maps. Granted the bunkers need a little work. Plus there’s Rondout Creek nearby giving it that Augusta National type feel.

Who do these random holes belong to and how can we get a tee time?

Was it part of a former golf course? Doubtful because there would be more trees cut down around it.

Is it someone’s private playground? We’d like to think it is. Imagine having this all to yourself whenever you wanted.

That’s the dream, man.
