If You Had a Golf Genie, What Would Be Your One Wish?

During today’s Golf Channel early round coverage, Sir Terry Gannon and Nick Faldo inadvertently brought up an interesting topic: if you had a golf genie, what would be your one wish?

Faldo got things started by saying if he magically had one wish playing the game of golf, he’d want the ability to land wedges to a certain spot every single time, judging the spin etc. Gannon then countered without hesitation with the ability to hole every putt he looked at.

Personally, even though it’s my blog and I feel this compelling need to be original, I’m going to go with 0-time major winner Terry on this one. Besides getting a hole-in-one every single time (which obviously isn’t realistic), what else could be better than having AT MOST 18 putts a round? Let me caveat it must be on the green, because then it wouldn’t be fair, right? But seriously, imagine shaving off what should be an average of EIGHTEEN strokes from your score and, not to mention, getting it up and down from everywhere…at least I know I’d have a half-decent chance at being a legitimate golfer!

Sure I’d like to fly the ball 600 yards or be able to hit flop shots better than Phil, but I’m rolling with one-putting. Now the question becomes, what would you wish for?
