Nature is crazy, man. Check out this clip of a bolt of lightning that struck a tree at the Country Club of Charleston during the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open.
It’s a good example of why you should always take cover when lightning is in the area.

The tree was later removed that evening for safety reasons.
