Justin Thomas emerged victorious at the PGA Tour’s inaugural CJ Cup at Nine Bridges on Sunday fending off big Aussie Marc Leishman in a playoff. The win was his sixth in his last 25 starts and he received a tidy little $1.67 million for the effort. Not bad for traveling across the world.

Ironically, we also have come to find out that the award handed out to the winner of the CJ Cup was hardly a cup at all. Mind blown! With “cup” in the name, one would assume a cup-style trophy would be handed out. Nope!

If you refer to your tournament as a “cup,” do us all a favor … quit playing mind games, and hand out a trophy that resembles a CUP!
