Does Nike Legally Force Its Athletes To Wear Whatever They Produce No Matter How Atrocious It Looks?

We’ve seen Nike makes some garments that are questionable at best (blade collars, neon colors etc), but this vest Jason Day was wearing recently could be one of the biggest atrocities they’ve ever produced.
Instead of looking like a golfer, Jason Day appeared ready to crouch down behind the plate and call balls and strikes at game 4 of the NLCS. Even Adam Scott, who was forced to play 18 holes with him couldn’t even look at JDay with a straight face.
Makes you wonder if the players have a choice to decline or if it’s in their contracts that they are legally forced against their will to wear whatever Nike decides.
Maybe if they were paying us millions of dollars, we’d consider wearing the garbage they come out with too.
