Rory McIlroy Goes Full Incredible Hulk And We Love To See It

Rory McIlory went full Incredible Hulk after blowing a lead on Sunday and we are fully here for it.

Entering the final round with a one-shot lead, Rory was poised to win his 3rd DP World Tour Championship. Unfortunately, golf got in the way and he posted a pedestrian 2-over par 74 finishing in a tie for 6th.

Rory was spotted in the clubhouse with his shirt torn looking at his phone. Clearly, he was PISSED!

But really, can you blame him when things like this were happening?

On the 15th hole, McIlroy caught an awful break when his pitch shot hit the flagstick and caromed into the bunker.

Not his fault, but that led to another bogey and killed any chance he had of catching Collin Morikawa who birdied 5 of his last 7 holes to close out a 3-shot victory AND win the European Tour’s season-long Race To Dubai.

A pissed off Rory McIlroy is a dangerous Rory McIlory

Rory has been known to be a bit fiery at times, like when he hucked a long iron into the water at Doral, but we haven’t seen this kind of rage in a long time. Must be all that “fatherhood perspective” we always hear about keeping him in check.

But things seemed to change at this year’s Ryder Cup when he cried live on air basically about how much golf still means to him.

He went on to win the CJ Cup in his next start and then parted ways with his swing coach because he realized he’s Rory McIlroy.

And he was feeling himself early in the week in Dubai. Rory’s protracers are actual art.

Easy to see why he was pissed on Sunday when he’s hitting flagsticks and making bogeys. Golf is hard even for the best.

Rory McIlroy is one of the most honest guys on tour, and for that, he should be applauded.

So when his emotions get the best of him out there, he doesn’t take it out on the golf course like some folks (we’re looking directly at you Sergio), he takes it out on himself – which we all understand.

We’ve been there. You’ve been there. We’ve all been there. We all strive to be the best we can be but sometimes things don’t go your way, especially on the golf course.

Showing emotion is normal. It’s natural. Plus some Nike golf shirts are so ugly they deserve to be ripped up.

And just like you, Rory is a human. The only difference is he’s been a professional golfer since he’s legally been an adult.

It’s refreshing to see honest emotion when sometimes it would be easier not to show it. We should consider ourselves lucky we got Rory in golf.

Good to see he still cares…which is probably bad news to the rest of the field.
