WATCH: Jim Furyk Misreads Putt By A Mile

Jim Furyk Misread Northern Trust

Jim Furyk misread a putt so badly on Sunday during the final round of the Northern Trust that it should make us all feel better about ourselves.

The 49-year-old former FedEx Cup champion with the kooky swing had a difficult right-to-left putt down the hill and well, you just need to see it:

To quote the great Bob Uecker, that putt was JUUUUUUUSSSSSSTTTTTT a bit outside.

Listen, we get it was probably borderline impossible to hole especially with the greens be extra quick, but when you’re a golf professional and you miss your line by 10 feet, the people need to know.

Also, take a look at that set-up. Armlock pencil grip with his feet basically touching each other. Can’t knock the form because it apparently works. Furyk is eligible for the Champions Tour next year and he’s comfortably cruising into next week’s BMW Championship being well inside the top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings (he’s currently projected to be 50th.)

Furyk has shot 58 in a competitive round and won a U.S. Open, however, it’s always refreshing to see these guys are still human.
