WATCH: Palmer Takes SIX Shots To Escape Bunker. Yikes!
- Updated: February 15, 2020
Seeing pro golfers struggle gives us amateurs great joy, but man, this one is tough to watch. Poor Ryan Palmer.
On Saturday during the 3rd round of the Genesis Invitational, Palmer hit it his tee ball on the par-3 14th hole at Riviera Country Club into the greenside bunker and – wait for it – took him SIX (!!!) shots to get it out. SIX!
This poor guy… took 5 just to get out of the trap. #badbreak #twoinchesbehindtheball #GenesisInvitational #RyanPalmer #PGATour pic.twitter.com/wy3XT624Nt

Somebody should’ve offered him a blanket and some sunscreen! Here are the official ShotLink details. WARNING: it isn’t pretty:
Looks like ShotLink started tracking me. Got to feel for his caddie tasked with raking up that mess. Clean up on aisle 14!
Palmer posted a solid 9-over 45 on the 9 holes. To his credit, he didn’t walk off the golf course when 99.99% of us certainly would have.
