We don’t know whether this break is lucky or good. What we do know is we’ve never seen anything like this and it is mesmerizing.
During the second round of the Texas Valero Open, leader Si Woo Kim found himself close to the lip of a bunker at TPC San Antonio.
Instead of opting for the safe play and pitching out, Kim decided to power right through it because he’s a pro:

99 out of 100 times my ball gets embedded in that lip. Not Si Woo. The ball looked like a bullet cutting through water as it exploded through the turf.
Major props to the cameraman there for capturing that whole sequence.
The 23-year-old South Korean looks to capture his 3rd PGA Tour event on Sunday. Breaks like these usually help.
