Tiger Woods Takes Lead At Valspar, Breaks The Internet
- Updated: March 9, 2018
Tiger Woods took the lead for the first time on the PGA Tour since 2015 during the second round of the Valspar Championship and broke the internet. Well, not really the internet, but more PGA Tour Live.
Playing some of the best golf we’ve seen in literally years, the 14-time major winner drained a 12-foot birdie putt on the second hole – his 11th of the day – which put him at 4-under and tied for first with Jimmy Walker and Corey Conners.
The last time Tiger Woods held the lead in a PGA Tour event? Aug. 22, 2015. 930 days ago!
As soon as the putt dropped, the stream froze and an error message popped up … and PANIC ENSUED!

Woods then took sole possession of the lead with a sand-save birdie on the par-5 fifth hole, his 14th of the day.
He fired a tidy 3-under 68 on Friday and is currently in a tie for 2nd heading into what promises to be an ELECTRIC the weekend.
Strap in, folks!
