Tour Pro Buys New Putter At Local Golf Galaxy, Shoots 64
- Updated: August 26, 2018
In this latest edition of “Tour pros are just like us,” Tyrrell Hatton was so fed up with his putting after 3 days at the Northern Trust, he decided to head over to the local Golf Galaxy in Paramus, NJ and shake things up.
Hey, when it’s the FedEx Cup playoffs, you got to do what you got to do.
After dropping a cool $172 on a new Ping Sigma G Darby putter & grip less than TWO hours after he finished his 3rd round, Hatton needed just 27 putts on Sunday at Ridgewood Country Club en route to a bogey-free final round 64 (-7) sending him rocketing up the leaderboard.
Need proof? Here’s the receipt:
Well that’s the best $172 I’ve ever spent 😂😂🙈
Was so nice to hole some putts again today, new putter worked it’s magic!
-7 64 to finish the week 💪🏻

In fact, he actually gained 3.014 in strokes gained: putting on Sunday, the first time all week he’s picked up shots on the field with the flat stick.
Oh, and the 64 also matched his lowest round on the PGA Tour this season.
It also firmly secured Hatton’s spot in the second FedEx Cup Playoff event in Boston next week.
If only fixing your putting was that easy!
