Wait…How In The World Is This Putter Legal?!?

Is alignment a problem for you? We may have found the answer.
The PGA TOUR Latinoamérica posted a video of a player lining up a putt while his club was magically balancing behind the ball like it was possessed by David Blaine.

After a brief google search, it turns out it was a Bloodline putter and Ernie Els is an investor. Plus, it’s totally legal according to the rules of golf. Wait … what?
How could this legal in competition? It’s basically like using an alignment aid inside the ropes. Sightlines are different because there is still some skill involved in lining it up.
All for this idea for amateurs (#bifurcate), but if you’re a pro, you should be ashamed of yourself. Line up the damn putt and hit it.
Just wait until somebody wins a major using one of these. The USGA will deem it illegal the next day … as they should!

Ill use an illegal putter any day of the week. I could care less about the rules unless the rules actually make sense like moving a ball to a better lie etc.
