WATCH: Jason Day Makes All-World Par From A Literal Pebble Beach

There’s a reason why it’s called Pebble Beach. During Sunday’s final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Jason Day made an all-world par on the famous 18th hole from a literal beach.
Needing eagle to have any shot winning the tournament, Day found the fairway off the tee and naturally decided to go driver off the deck to get home in two. However, he tugged his ball into the Pacific that lines the left side of the fairway.
Fortunately for the deliberate Aussie, it was low tide and he found the ball resting on the shore. He proceeded to wedge it out and make his 5 … just like he drew it up.

The total cost of the par? Roughly $270,000 (the difference between T2 & T5).
Day finished in a tie for 2nd at -14 alongside Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson and Chez Reavie. But the week belonged to Ted Potter Jr. who captured his 2nd PGA Tour win and his first since the 2012 Greenbrier.
