Yes Sir! Jack Nicklaus Inspired Socks Are Here … And They Are Golden
- Updated: February 22, 2018
Jack Nicklaus socks? Yes, sir! Stance has partnered with Nicklaus companies and has introduced a collection of socks inspired by the Golden Bear.
The first one they’ve unveiled is the iconic putt on the 17th hole of the 1986 Masters en route to his 18th and final major … at age 46!
Here is the description listed on Stance’s website:
In 1986, 46-year-old Jack Nicklaus, also known as “The Golden Bear,” was playing for his sixth Masters victory, 18th major title, and 73rd PGA tour win. The Jack Nicklaus Masters sock commemorates an 18-foot birdie putt on hole 17, which capped an eagle-birdie-birdie run, giving Nicklaus the lead, and ultimately, the Masters win. The sock features the legendary image of Nicklaus raising his putter in celebration on the 17th hole, along with the golden bear logo embroidery on the ankle. Celebrate the greatest golfer of all time with the Jack Nicklaus Masters crew sock.
These high-performance socks feature FEEL360 technology, Stance’s proprietary new fiber treatment that reduces odor-causing bacteria, regulates temperature, accelerates moisture wicking, and enhances the durability of the socks. They also include breathable performance mesh, anatomical cushioning, seamless toe closure, and left/right engineered arch support.
“The design of our first sock celebrates so many things that were special about the ’86 Masters,” said John Wilson, president and co-founder of Stance, in a press release. “With the prominent and iconic image of Jack’s putt on 17, and especially the nod to the Golden Bear’s yellow shirt with the sock’s yellow design features, we are honored to support the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation.”
Each sock in Stance’s new Jack Nicklaus Collection will feature the iconic Golden Bear logo embroidered on the opposite sock of the Stance icon.
