WATCH: This 60-Second Version Of Happy Gilmore Deserves An Oscar
- Updated: November 5, 2019
We here at TIS are huge Happy Gilmore fans. How could you not be if you play golf? It’s arguably Adam Sandler’s best work. Every time it’s on TV you can bet we’re watching it. That’s why we’re here to tell you somebody made a 60-second version of it and it is so, so well done.
The total run time of the movie is 1 hour and 32 minutes. Mike Camerlengo, who seems to have a knack for hilariously shortening films, condensed it down to ONE MINUTE! Plus, the commentary is spot on. Check it out:

Somebody give this guy an Oscar! Here’s a smattering of our favorite lines:
- He realizes he could make buckets of cash driving golf balls 400 yards and possibly committing manslaughter in the process.
- Heads to the local range to hustle local CPAs out of pinot grigio money when Apollo Creed’s grandfather pops up.
- The mom from Modern Family is like I could keep him under control.
- So she gets Happy an endorsement deal with a company [Subway] that doesn’t really care what their spokesmen do in their downtime.
- Hits a putt through an obstacle course and everybody pulls apart Shooter’s body in the parking lot.
If there was a Mount Rushmore of golf movies, Happy Gilmore would certainly be on it. Chances are if you read this blog you’ve seen it multiple times and can recite at least half the lines. If not, you’re welcome, although we advise watching the entire thing. It’s a classic.
