Slow play has been a hot topic in the golf world, especially over the weekend where we saw JB Holmes win the Genesis Open at a snail’s pace with little remorse.

But it appears the PGA Tour isn’t the only place where pace of play is an issue. Look no further to the Web.com Tour’s LECOM Suncoast Classic in Lakeland, FL.

2-time PGA Tour winner Matt Every decided to take a literal seat in the middle of the 16th fairway DURING the final round on Sunday:

According to @DrewCarr_, his caddie grabbed the chair from the 16th tee box and Every took a load off while waiting for the green to clear on a par-5. His caddie then carried it with him the rest of the way.

Every – who’s grinding to get back to the big tour – made birdie on the hole and finished T32.

Fortunately, the USGA didn’t deem it as a 15th club and penalize him!

Bold move bringing your own chair with you onto the course!

Might have to invest in one for our own game! Sure, the new push carts have optional seats you can attach to them. But there’s something about making your caddie carry the extra weight that feels right!

You know what they say … when play gets slow, the fast take a seat.
