Is This The Future Of Picking Your Ball Out Of The Hole?

The future of picking your golf ball out of the hole without touching the flagstick is here.

While golf courses continue to try and find new ways to keep golfers safe during the COVID pandemic, Cobblestone Golf Course in Acworth, Georgia showed us all they may be the leader in the clubhouse when it comes to avoiding a contaminated flagstick.

We’re all trying to survive through a global pandemic in 2020, while Cobblestone is playing golf COVID-free in 3020!

They say its called the Golf Ball E-Z Lyft system and apparently it’s a real thing. Other less advanced remedies have been adding a piece of foam so the ball goes in the hole but doesn’t drop all the way down or raising the cup so the ball bounces off. Both of which have had mixed reviews.

Sure, there will be skeptics saying “what if you wipe the putter blade with your hand like Brooks Koepka” or more likely, “you’re still using your hand to grab your putter out of the bag…” to which we say relax and use common sense.

We’d argue that even if there wasn’t a global pandemic, these contraptions should be installed. It potentially would save greenskeepers and superintendents plenty of headaches when brainless, unaware golfers jam their entire putter head or hand in the hole with the flagstick in and ruin the edges of the cup for everybody else. If you don’t get this reference, you probably are one of those jackasses who do it.

Welcome to the future!
