Amateur Posts Tidy +56 In 36 Holes At Web.com Tour Event

What do you think you’d shoot in a professional tournament? Whatever it is, hopefully, it’s better than this guy. Amateur golfer Julio “The Machine” Bell put on quite a show at the Web.com Tour’s Club Colombia Championship where he fired a two day total of +56 at the Country Club of Bogota.
FIFTY-SIX OVER PAR IN 36 HOLES!!!!
The 52-year-old Columbian native, who was conveniently in the field on a sponsor invite (aka he’s got $$$$ … after all, this is Columbia), got off to a start on Thursday going out in +11 which included a barrage of bogeys and doubles.
The back 9 followed suit beginning with a triple on the 10th and a double on the 11th. However, he appeared to find his footing playing bogey golf the rest of the way in. The lone bright spot was a par on 16 which we assume was a typo. It was good enough for a first round 93 (+22).
Bell didn’t fare much better on Friday when he came out of the gates with 3 consecutive doubles and turned in 50. As expected, the back side was even more impressive which included a quad, 2 triples, and 4 doubles en route to a tidy 55 and round of 105 (+34).
Needless to say, Bell didn’t make the cut. In fact, they ended up DQ’ing him … probably for his own good.
