John Daly’s 1995 Claret Jug Is On The Auction Block

If you ever wanted to win a Claret Jug, here’s your chance. John Daly has officially put his replica jug which he famously won at the 1995 Open at St. Andrews up for sale through Heritage Auctions.

Why isn’t it the real one? Because unfortunately, the R&A makes you give back the original hardware after a year. However, they do allow you to purchase a scaled-down replica version for a more permanent solution.

Golf’s bad boy fended off Constantino Rocca in a four-hole aggregated playoff at the home of golf in a hilarious green Reebok windbreaker to earn the second of his two career majors.

The trophy is expected to fetch over $100K … or roughly the amount of booze Daly consumed after the victory. Bidding ends at 11 pm EST on February 24. Grip it and bid it!
