Paige Spiranac Takes Top Off In Latest PXG Ad…Just Kidding, But She Does Get An Extra 15 Yards!

Let’s be real for a second…marketing golf equipment today is tough. While there are a few exceptions, the landscape is just so, so stale.

Gone are the days of Tiger mesmerizing everybody with his impromptu juggling skills…or really any Tiger ads during the early 2000s for that matter. It’s the same technology, only slightly different and in some cases, allegedly the same.

Show a couple Tour players giving testimonials. Then show an amateur so it’s relatable. Then cap it off with “The #1 Ball in Golf” … “The #1 Driver on Tour.” We get it.

Enter PXG founder Dr. Bob Parsons. He doesn’t play by the rules. In fact, Parsons doesn’t even play by his own rules. So he decided to do the logical thing and sign a social media superstar by the name of Paige Spiranic (…maybe you’ve heard of her?) to a brand ambassador deal worth actual money to change the game. KABOOM BABY!!!

Judging by their latest commercial, PXG wasted no time showing off Ms. Spiranac’s assets (her golf swing…) Everbody knows that having your little black dress tailored is exactly what it’s like to get fitted for golf clubs, right guys? *eye roll*

But she gained 15-yards! That alone is worth the extra $3,000 a club. Being real for a second…is the target demographic here men or women? Maybe it’s both. Whatever it is, we’re not buying it.

Honestly was expecting more for Dr. Bob. If PXG really wanted to blow the top off the golf industry maybe they should take a page out of Carl’s Jr.’s legendary fast-food playbook. KABOOM indeed!

One day a golf company is going to figure out the formula and be the “#1 Selling Clubs on the Amateur Circuit!”
