Is This The Most Ungrateful Ace In PGA Tour History?
- Updated: March 7, 2019
For those of you who have yet to make an ace in your golfing career, we almost guarantee this will piss you off.
On Thursday during the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, D.A. Points made one of the most ungrateful hole-in-ones you will ever see on Bay Hill’s par-3 7th hole:
🚨 ACE 🚨 for @DAPoints!

High fives all around.#LiveUnderPar pic.twitter.com/bIYKnfwMpj
As soon as the ball leaves the club face, Points starts barking at it to go while looking at it in disgust.
PRO TIP: it’s important to note the hand on the hip which is basically the international golf symbol for a shitty shot.
His ball carries the bunker short of the green – the one he presumably thought where his ball would end up – takes a couple of hops and boom, right in the hole.

He sheepishly gives a wave as if to say “my bad” followed by a few apologetic high fives.
Points shot even on the day. More importantly, he should have to buy a drink for everybody who witnessed this pathetic display of an ace.
P.S. Don’t be this guy. Everybody likes to witness an ace. But nobody likes somebody who gives up on a shot and still makes one.
UPDATE
Points took to twitter to set the record straight:
For the record I miss hit my 6 iron off the toe. I was begging for it to get over the bunker. It did and rolled in. Completely lucky and I am grateful for it! Haven’t had much luck recently, sign of good things to come. Sorry if my celebration wasn’t boisterous enough for everyon
