WATCH: JT’s Super Relatable Cold Topped 3-Wood

Justin Thomas hit one of the more relatable shots you will ever see a professional hit this weekend.

On Saturday during the 3rd round of the Scottish Open, JT was attempting to go for the par-5 10th green in two when he cold topped his ball straight into the fairway bunker.

He went on to make bogey, even though he clearly was thinking eagle. Golf!

The 3rd ranked player in the world is one of us.

Think about this. Whether you are a JT fan or not, the dude has got one of the most solid swings on tour.

I was literally dreaming the other day how I wish I was able to get the club into the perfect positions JT is able to achieve.

Here’s the thing though. Golf is not a game of perfect as evidenced by the fact JT almost whiffed a routine 3-metal sending the club flying in the air in utter disgust.

Even the best players in the world hit shots that you and I would hit. Why? Because golf is hard.

Yes they are professionals and we play once a week if we are lucky without practicing, but the results while rare, can be exactly the same.

Am I going to wait 10 minutes for the green to clear and then top the shit out of it?

You’re damn right I am!

After the round, JT owned the shot by posting this tweet:

“Waiting for the green to clear and topping a 3 wood shortly after isn’t what I had in mind. Safe to say I hit a few 3 w’s on the range after my round.”
