WATCH: Im Gets Lucky Bounce Off The Water At WGC-Mexico

Sungjae Im Gets Magical Bounce At WGC-Mexico Championship | Two Inches Short

We’re so concerned with the golf ball going longer, but maybe we should be more worried about them defying the laws of physics.

During the second round of the WGC-Mexico Championship, Sungjae Im dumped his tee shot on the par-3 7th hole at Club de Golf Chapultepec in the pond, but somehow it magically bounced off the water and landed safely on the green.

Some call it luck. Others also will call it luck. Nobody in the right mind would call this good. All we know is that you need to see it to believe it.

It’s the complete opposite of Montezuma’s revenge. Bryson can’t even explain the science behind this one.

Im made par, although it probably wasn’t exactly how he drew it up. He’ll take it.

Wild, right? You can see the splash! Talk about a member’s bounce. I’ve never gotten that lucky. Have you?

That ball should’ve been on the pond floor, but instead, it launched high in the air meaning it must have hit something. Maybe it was a liner? Or maybe the water is only a half an inch deep?

We have no idea. All we know is that it ended up on the green and that golf makes no sense sometimes.
