Is This The Worst Shank Off The First Tee At St. Andrews Of All Time?

Worst Shank Of All Time At St. Andrews? | Two Inches Short Twitter/@culley999

SHANK WARNING: The following video is NSFW!

Tour pro Zac Blair asked a simple question on Twitter the other day: what is the most memorable golf shot you’ve ever seen?

The unanimous winner was this guy. Shank you very much!

Talk about unforgettable!

Somebody get this guy a breakfast ball! Lordy. That’s one of the coldest shanks if we’ve ever seen. Old Tom Morris is rolling over in his grave!

Imagine flying across the ocean to play the world’s most famous course, getting to the first tee and hitting it so far off the hosel it almost goes 90 degrees right. Doesn’t exactly provide a ton of confidence for the next 17.5 holes!

The laugh on camera from his buddy filming is priceless though. The fact he had the presence of mind to keep his composure, track and zoom-in on that chili-dipper until it came to rest in the complete opposite direction of where it was supposed to go is nothing short of impressive.

Fortunately St. Andrews has some of the widest fairways on this planet so at least he’s 1 for 1 in fairways hit. Yikes.
