Ryder Cup Fan Hit By Brooks Koepka Loses Vision, Plans To Sue

Brooks Kopeka hit an errant tee shot on Friday morning during the Ryder Cup injuring a spectator who reportedly lost vision in her right eye and plans to sue organizers. Yikes!

Corine Remande, 49, was struck in the head and taken to the hospital immediately.

According to the Telegraph, it was a “fracture of the right socket and the explosion of the eyeball” which “surgeons managed to sew back together”.

They said, “best case scenario, she may be able to see shapes after the bruising eases in a month or so.”

“Officials did not shout any warning as the player’s ball went into the crowd,” she said, saying she would be consulting lawyers on Tuesday with a view to winning damages.

“More than anything I want them to take care of all the medical bills to make sure there is no risk of infection,” she said.

Brooks posted a statement on social media. Got to be a pretty awful feeling knowing all you had to do was hit the fairway.
